Info.: Students grade 7 thru 11 compete and grade 12^th thru college compete for monetary prize and the opportunity to play on the big stage at the Blues Festival

Date: September 5^th & 6^th

Time: 6:00 p.m. on Friday September 5^th and 11:00 a.m. on Saturday September 6^th 2008 open until 10 p.m.

Place: Jackson County Fair grounds

Info.: 17^th Annual Blues and Heritage Festival featuring top notch entertainers Friday and Saturday the weekend after Labor Day. Entertainers are Floyd Taylor, Labroada, Kenny Wayne, Vick Allen, Ms. Jody, Crescent City Blues Band, Apollo Blues, Band, and 3D. Admission: Early Bird Ticket August 1-9 - $18, Advance - $25, At the Gate - $30
